Building Process
Cane weaving is quad-directional.
This rocking chair leverages the very natural of traditional cane weaving. The frame of the chair is constructed so that the edges of the frame allows room for both front and back to be fully woven in this four-way construction.
The chair is designed to rock and shift, in which the movement of the form enables different tones of blue to constantly stay in motion, giving a colorful illusion to the eye.
